What is MND?

Motor Neurone Disease (MND) is the name given to a group of diseases in which the nerve cells (neurones) controlling the muscles that enable us to move, speak, breathe and swallow undergo degeneration and die. Average life expectancy is between 2-3 years from diagnosis. The five senses usually remain unaffected.

Unfortunately there is still no effective treatment, cure, or understanding of what causes this heartbreaking disease.

We are aiming to raise $500,000 for the Motor Neurone Disease Research Institute of Australia and have a bit of fun along the way. Stay tuned for announcements on how you can get involved but if you can’t wait have a quick look through havin’ a laugh and click here to donate.
